This unique trilingual video is designed to teach Spanish-speaking parents with deaf or hard of hearing children how to sign war related vocabulary. It was developed due to the events in Iraq 2003, yet the vocabulary is universal to all wars. The video demonstrates more than 50 vocabulary words using PSE with ASL features. Connie Salvador models the vocabulary and practice sentences to her sister-in-law Dey Gomez, who imitates them while translating the words and sentences into Spanish. Dey was interested in learning the signs so she could discuss the war and current events with her Deaf nephew. Dey and Connie make learning the signs fun!
